Release Notes - TD on Groove 3.x
- Windows 95, 98, and ME are NOT supported in this release. There are known issues when installing and using TeamDirection Project on these operating systems.
- If you have not activated TeamDirection Project, i.e. it is in preview mode, you are limited to using five tasks. To use more than five you must purchase a license and activate the product.
- In order to view the Outlook Calendar from TeamDirection Project, Office 2000 SR-1a or later is needed. Synchronization will still work if this preference is checked, allowing meetings to be viewed in Microsoft Outlook.
- Outlook security may be set such that links to TeamDiection meetings may not be operational.
- The Resource Tab is always disabled for “Participants”, even when a manager gives them add, remove, or modify privileges. For a user to view and edit resources, they must have manager privileges.
- Dragging a task's completion bar will only register whole day increments. To set a task’s completion percentage to any other whole number, manually enter it in the Details Pane.
- If a person is added as a free text resource and then invited under the same name, there will be two resource entries for that person: one will be a space member and the other will not.
- Once a user tabs through each field in the Details Pane, the focus does not return to the initial field. Rather, the tab is redirected out of TeamDirection Project. To edit the details field further you must use the mouse to place the cursor in the desired location.
- The completion percentage of a task will not be exported to MS Project unless a resource is assigned to a task.
- Windows language settings that use non-Latin character sets can affect the appearence of the calendar bar and date formats.
- When editing the percent completion of a task by dragging the slider in the Gantt Chart, you will be able to move the bar beyond the start or end points of the task bar. Once you release the mouse button the slider bar will return to its correct position.
- When you see the Outlook synchronization prompt, if you do not click 'Yes' or 'No' another prompt will appear every time a meeting is created.
- When in preview mode, a link is hidden if the link is associated with a task that is not shown. If a visible task is linked to a task that is not shown you may not be able to move the visible task if by doing so it would cause the other linked task to move.
- If a user deletes a resource while another user tries to assign that resource to a task, a non-fatal "invalid procedure call or argument" error will occur.
- Currently, the format for dates in files exported from TeamDirection Project are mm-dd-yyyy by default and can be changed by applying new style rules in the associated stylesheets. Contact Customer Support for details.
- It is possible to create a link that points backwards in time if multiple users edit the same task and one or more of the users is offline. The 'backwards' link can be resolved by a Manager lengthening or moving forward the predecessor task.
- When giving groups access to edit all tasks ensure the option to edit assigned tasks is also selected or the users in the group will not be able to edit tasks assigned to them.
