TD Project 2007 Release Notes

  1.  When you import an mpp file that has a weekend workdays calendar in MS Project, you will not be able to change the Include Weekends setting in TD Project. The start and stop dates in TD Project will be the same as they were in MS Project.
  2. Automatic synchronization is turned off by default. To turn it on, go to Tools | Options.
  3. For synchronizing with external sites, the best practice is to log into the site first, then press the Synchronize button.  This ensures that you are already logged into the site and will not be challenged for your authentication credentials. You may turn auto-synchronization on while logged in to your remote sites.
  4. Milestones may only have a completion status of zero or 100%. The user interface allows % complete to be entered and then re-sets it to zero.
  5. Dependent tasks will only achieve 100% completion when all predecessor tasks are completed.
  6. To invoke the task dialog, best practice is to double-click in the Task Name field.
  7. When un-installing TeamDirection Project, be sure to exit the Project Viewer and Organizer both. To exit the Organizer, right-click the icon in the System Tray and select Exit. If the application is left running during un-install, it will still be running afterwards.
  8. If an mpp file is open in MS Project during an import into TeamDirection Project, the mpp file will be closed.
  9. The state of the Project Views pane is not maintained between startups.
  10. If the SharePoint site has inherited the permissions from its parent site, workspace members may not be removed through the TeamDirection application.
  11. Cannot mark a summary task read unless all of the subtasks are read.
  12. Double-clicking on a tdibackup file will not open the project.
  13. If two accounts have the same email address in SharePoint, only one of the accounts will appear in TeamDirection Project.
  14. In the Member pane, the drop down menu may indicate that a member has not opened the project, even though they have. The status is not updated until the member has made a change and synchronized.
  15. Undo does not undo column width changes.
  16. TD Project durations export to Microsoft Project in days only
  17. Users running TeamDirection Project in Groove while installing TeamDirection Project for SharePoint will be asked to close their Groove workspace. This message may be ignored. Clicking Ignore will allow TeamDirection Project for SharePoint to install normally.
  18. Copying or cutting and pasting into the project row over-writes the current project. Pasting over a task row inserts the new data as a summary task.
  19. Hyperlinks without a specified file extension can cause decrease performance connecting to other hyperlinks in the same project.
