1. Activating TeamDirection
Project using your License ID and Password
a. Activation requires a purchased
license. Purchase a license by clicking on the "Activate"
button while in TeamDirection Project; clicking "OK"
on the first message box, then selecting "I want to buy a
license". You will then be taken to the purchase page on
the TeamDirection web site. You can also go directly to the
TeamDirection purchase page to purchase a license. Once on
the purchase page, select the license type you want to purchase
and follow the directions given. At the end of the purchase process
you will be given (and e-mailed) a License ID and Password.
b. Once you have a License ID and
PW, close or minimize your browser window to expose the original
activation screen--if you went directly to the web site simply
click on the "Activate" button in TeamDirection Project;
select "I have a License"; and, when asked, enter the
License ID and Password when appropriate.
c. If you buy a multi-user
license, all users who have the License ID and Password for that
license can activate their install of TeamDirection Project from
that license by following the directions in 'b' above. Once you
have used all the activations available in the license any attempts
to activate another user will fail.
2. Activate TeamDirection
Project on Multiple Computers Using a Registration ID
If you have already activated
your account, clicking on the Activate button will cause the product
Registration ID for your Groove User Account to be displayed.
You may use this Registration
ID to activate TeamDirection Project on up to 4 more computers for
the same, i.e. exported, Groove Account.
To activate your TeamDirection
Project files on another computer:
- Install your Groove account
from the first computer to the 'new' computer (see
Groove support on how to install your account on multiple
computers)
- Download and install TeamDirection
Project on the new computer
- Use the registration code from
the original install of TeamDirection Project to activate the
new install of TeamDirection Project. See the FAQ
note on using multiple computers with TeamDirection Project
and using the Registration ID.
3. Manage a Group License
When you buy a multiple seat
license, or several licenses, for your company or workgroup, each
user needs to activate using either the License ID and Password
or a Registration Code.
- If you send each user your License
ID and Password, they can enter these into their product activation
wizard and get activated online automatically.
- You can obtain anyone's
Registration Code if you know their Groove User ID. Manually
generating Registration Codes for each user provides complete
control on how the license seats are distributed. In order to
obtain a user's Registration Code, you need to know the User
Code of the person you want to activate.
- The user can find the Groove
User Code by clicking the "Activate" button
on the TeamDirection Project toolbar as shown below.

There are 5 steps in activating
a user via manual registration and activation:
- The user sends in a their Groove
User Code
- You enter your License
ID, Password and the User Code in the Console and click
Submit.
- You obtain the corresponding
Registration Code
- You send the Registration
Code back to the user
- The user enters the Registration
Code in the activation wizard to activate their copy(s)
of the product

4. Other Install Options
(Non-Internet Installs)
If you are unable to download TeamDirection
Project via the internet TeamDirection can provide an install
file via CD or E-mail. Using this file you can install TeamDirection
Project in preview mode on as many computers as needed. If you
need to use this option contact TeamDirection
Support with your needs.
