Desktop Resource Filters

By default, when you share a project with SharePoint or Basecamp, all the members that have access to the SharePoint site or Basecamp project are brought into your IntelliGantt project. Sometimes this isn't such a good thing, like when everyone in your company is a member of a SharePoint site.

This form is designed to make it easier to exclude SharePoint or Basecamp members that might have access online but do not need to be in your local project plan. IntelliGantt will use the values in each of the list boxes you suppy against the display name of each SharePoint member or Basecamp person. There are three kinds of filters available: 1) Starts with, 2) Ends With and 3) Contains.

When you added values to the 'Starts With' list box, each time IntelliGantt communicates with SharePoint or Basecamp it will iterate through the 'Starts With' list and see if each user's display name starts with any of the values you supplied. If so, a message is sent to the reporter window that the user has been filtered and that user will not be a member of the project.

The 'Ends With' and 'Contains' list boxes work similarly. Use the '+' button to add a new entry and use the '-' button to remove a current selection. When you add a new entry a default string is placed in the list box. Select the newly added item and begin editing it to the value you would like.

The second checkbox controls whether the resources are always updated with the latest SharePoint names. By default IntelliGantt will match the display names of SharePoint members. However, this option allows you to provide you own resource name and ignore the display name for the corresponding SharePoint member.

If the 'Set as Default' is checked when the form first appears, then the current workspace settings match the default settings. If there is no actively shared workspace present, then this checkbox is greyed out as you can only change default settings.
