IntelliGantt Support for SharePoint Templates

By default, desktop integration with SharePoint servers let you create Document Workspaces for your collaboration needs. But what about workspaces you may have customized for your business processes? TeamDirection offers a free web service dll that enables IntelliGantt solutions to use any SharePoint site template you have added to your SharePoint server. When this dll is installed, it will activate the following feature.


With IntelliGantt Plus, choose the 'Share' option to start the publishing process:

With Microsoft Project and the IntelliGantt Add In, choose the 'Share' option from the 'IntelliGantt' menu to start the publishing process:

From this point on, the IntelliGantt SharePoint integration is the same for both products.



Publish a new Workspace based on a Site Template

The first thing to do is select the collaboration platform to use for our multi-user project. We will select 'SharePoint' for this project.

Next we will select 'Create new document workspace' and provide the URL for the SharePoint parent site.

If we click 'Next', then IntelliGantt will create a Document Workspace by default. To pick a SharePoint Site Template from a list, click on the 'Advanced' button.

This particular choice (Project Tracking Workspace) has been provided by Microsoft. IntelliGantt will create a new workspace based on the Project Tracking Workspace site template, find the Task List within this template and populate it with our project.
