Who is this product for?
IntelliGantt is for people who want to collaborate on a project simply and easily, with colleagues down the hall or partners across the country. Our novel Internet Workgroup makes sharing and collaborating on projects as easy as clicking three times. IntelliGantt provides intuitive, ground-up project management tools including an incredibly robust Gantt Chart tool, task list, and integrated "Member Pane" so everyone can view the 'who, what, where, how, when' in a project.
IntelliGantt Plus is for anyone who would like to tap into business apps (MS Project and Mindjet MindManager) and use readily available collaboration tools (SharePoint and Groove) to run a project with a team. It's extremely flexible-- you can use it standalone, with other IntelliGantt products or in conjuction with business and collaboration apps. Here's a picture:

We've seen many web applications recently announce they have offline solutions. We are a rich desktop application that has a great online solution.
Does everybody need a copy?
Depends how you'd like to use it. A single project manager working with a team may prefer IntelliGantt Plus and its integration with MS Project and SharePoint task lists so team members can update assignments with their web browser.
Or, if you'd like a more collaborative approach, then everyone might want IntelliGantt to create, share and update projects with colleagues, consultants, even end customers. With IntelliGantt, everyone will have the up to date view of the project.
Why is this better than a web app?
First of all, you can work when you want-- even offline. Second, IntelliGantt integrates with powerful applications adding value to your current software investments. Third, IntelliGantt's rich UI-- interactive Gantt chart with instant circular link feedback, instant scheduling ramification feedback and summary task drag and drop are not currently possible with web applications.
Fourth, you have a local copy of the project at all times with IntelliGantt. Even if the worst were to happen, you will always have a backup.

How would a Project Manager use this?
A Project Manager might be responsible for a large project with many parts. Using IntelliGantt plus, he/she could select only the parts that need sharing-- a particular summary task or summary topic and all its children-- and invite a select group to work on the selected piece. The Project Manager can monitor progress, and synchronize results back into the original project as they see fit. When the sub-project is done, it can simply go away.
How could a collaborative group use this?
Reponsibility for tasks may be distributed among the group. In this case, IntelliGantt standard makes sense as everyone participates in building and managing the schedule. As people make changes to the schedule, IntelliGantt performs intelligent merges so that everyone's changes are incorporated into the shared view. Everyone has a sense for what needs to be done and how things are going.
Does it have any sort of dashboard?
IntelliGantt and IntelliGantt Plus come with a project organizer that lets you arrange your projects in descriptive folders. Any folder can be opened into a "Multi-Project View" that lets you see many projects at once. Both products also have "Smart Folders" that automatically find your late projects, over budget projects, shared projects and more.
What about simple costing?
IntelliGantt and IntelliGantt Plus also support simple costing. Esitmated and actual costs are provided for every task with rollups. And, as mentioned above, a "Smart Folder" can show you at a glance which projects are over budget.
